With effect from 1 November 2025, Jarcine Spaander has been appointed director-director of the Nieuw Amsterdams Verbond by the General Assembly.
As a social entrepreneur and director with extensive experience in healthcare and social development, Jarcine brings a wealth of knowledge and commitment.
Jarcine was the founder and director of the King Arthur Group and currently works as a quartermaster, director and consultant at the intersection of leadership, participation and urban cooperation. Driven, she is committed to an equal and liveable society where everyone counts and participates. With her knowledge, experience and entrepreneurship in the social field, and her passion for Amsterdam, she brings the right expertise and qualities to further shape and expand the Alliance.
Current quartermaster Nina Tellegen will stay on for the next period to transfer the network and the knowledge gained.
