Besides the strong social initiatives in its portfolio, the association offers space for new and/or smaller initiatives. This is important because grassroots initiatives have a positive impact on the liveability of the city. These initiatives can potentially develop into an initiative in the portfolio, but sometimes small scale is essential for what they do. We also find it important to encourage start-up initiatives. Amsterdam is always on the move, so there is always a need for innovative initiatives that offer new solutions.
These initiatives find their place in the stimulus budget that builds on the work of the Amsterdam 750 Foundation, which last year supported over 160 initiatives in developing activities in the city's various neighbourhoods.
We are currently working on developing the criteria and modus operandi of the incentive budget. We expect to launch this budget in the first quarter of 2026. So keep an eye on this website.
